Campaign Intern (Social Media, Admin, Events, Film Screenings)
Flight Free UK
Do you want to inspire people to take climate action? Join our team at Flight Free UK and develop your social media and communication skills, while helping us with our inspirational work.
Flight Free UK is a charity that encourages people to travel without flying. We give information on the climate impact of aviation and inspiration for travel by other means. We are looking for people to join our growing team and help us reach more people with our message.
We have space for volunteer interns for the next few months, in social media, admin and events.
Our internships offer:
- experience working in the charity sector
- developing your communication skills, specifically related to climate communication
- hands-on experience of running social media accounts
- events management experience
We are looking for enthusiastic people with 8 hours or more per week to give. Our internships run for a minimum of three months, so volunteering with Flight Free UK would take you up to the end of the summer (and beyond if you want to!)
Over the next three months you would be involved with:
- weekly social media networking
- two online events: the Flight-Free Travel Surgery and Why Fly for Wildlife?
- organising film screenings for our upcoming documentary
- admin as needed
Our small team is spread across the UK, so this is a remote role.
About Flight Free UK
Our mission is to inform people of the climate impact of aviation and inspire people to travel by other means. We challenge people to take a year off flying to reduce emissions and shift the norm away from aviation. Our short-term challenge is a great way to inspire long-term behaviour change, and we show that individual consumer choices can lead to industry and system change.
