Wildscreen Festival Volunteers

Wildscreen volunteers are key to supporting our events and ensuring they are a success. Our year-round programme of events wouldn’t be possible without our hardworking team of volunteers, who kindly donate their time to support us in delivering them.

We’re looking for friendly, enthusiastic and committed individuals to join us to volunteer at Wildscreen Festival 2026. Whether you are interested in event management, social media and marketing, filming and photography, or simply meeting new people, there is a role for you!

The Serious Stuff

Successful volunteers will need to be available for the entirety of the Festival (the 17th – 22nd of October 2026). Shifts will include early morning events and evening events so expect early starts and/or late finishes. All volunteers must be aged 18 or over.

Wildscreen is a charity, and these are unpaid volunteer posts. Unfortunately, we are unable to cover the cost of accommodation so volunteers must be based in Bath or able to make their own arrangements.

Volunteer Roles

Our Volunteer Programmes offer an exciting opportunity to see how a Wildscreen events work, whilst exploring your interests. There’s lots of opportunities to get involved, with roles spanning across a range of interests. To support you in choosing which role is best for you, please see details on each role below.

Events Assistant: Support events in a range of ways, including greeting and ushering guests, staffing the Welcome Desk, assisting with box office and registration, monitoring microphones, providing stage support, helping with catering, overseeing the cloakroom, and supporting event set-up such as signage, chair layouts and badges.

Marketing and Communications Assistant: Supporting events by taking and logging photographs, filming interviews, sessions and networking moments, creating and editing video content, reporting live on social media as content creators, and supporting with graphic design.

Production Assistants: Supporting event delivery by helping in the Green Room to look after speakers and ensure they are ready ahead of each session, acting as runners between production, the Green Room and the auditorium(s) to assist with any tasks that arise, and providing general support to the producer throughout the event.
